Where are Sand Key Villas located?

A:

Sand Key Villas are located within a villa complex in the exclusive residential area of Santa Maria at the north of the island of Paros in the Aegean Sea. They are just a five minute drive from Naousa.

Q:

Are there any beaches near the villas?

A:

The villas are close to some of the island's most stunning beaches. Santa Maria beach is at walking distance (approx. 500m) from the villas. Mikri Santa beach is a 2 minute drive away and Laggeri beach which still does not attract mass crowds as it offers no services but is nevertheless a beautiful and quiet beach with crystal clear waters is about 7 minutes by car. Other known beaches such as Koympithres, Monastiri and Ampelas are also reachable within 10 to 15 minutes by car.

Q:

How many bathrooms are in the villas?

A:

Each of the villas has the same number of bathrooms as bedrooms. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The larger villas also have an additional bathroom next to the living room and kitchen.

Is there a swimming pool for each villa?

A:

There is a shared large (7m x 14m) swimming pool at the villa complex. Each villa has at least one reserved umbrella each with two sun beds. All villas have direct access and view of the swimming pool and grounds of the villa complex as well as great views of the Santa Maria Beach and the surrounding area.

Are there any restaurants and shops close by?

A:

Santa Maria is an exclusive residential neighborhood. However, there are a few restaurants within a 3 minute drive. The closest grocery store is about 7 minutes by car while general shopping and many more restaurants as well as the island's best nightlife can be found in Naousa which is also a 7-minute drive away.

Are pets allowed?

A:

Pets are not allowed within the villa complex. However, depending on the time of year, and the size of the pet we may be able to accommodate the request. Please contact us in advance.

Q:

How often is housekeeping during a stay?

A:

Housekeeping (cleaning and changes of linens and towels) takes place every third day and is included in the rate booked. Additional housekeeping days can be agreed in advance for an additional charge.

Q:

Are there any additional services offered at the villa?

A:

As part of your stay you will enjoy complimentary 24/7 concierge service. We also offer an advance concierge service with which guests can book services and experiences in advance of their stay, such as cooking classes, dine-in chef service, babysitting service, boat tours, car and bike rentals.

Q:

Is there a pick up and drop off service between the villas and the port or airport?

A:

A pick up and drop off service can be arranged for the guests of our villas to and from the port and airport of Paros at an additional charge. We always urge guests to consider renting cars to accommodate their group size in order to be able to experience and enjoy the island at its maximum without having to rely on public transport and taxis that may be hard to find and quite busy depending on the time of visit.

What is the minimum stay?

A:

The minimum stay is usually 3 nights but it can vary depending on the time of year. Please contact us and we can arrange custom minimum nights or you can check the minimum night stay for your preferred dates when you book online.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

A:

Regular check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is by 10am. We can accommodate late check out requests depending on availability and subject to an advance request. Earlier check-in can also be possible depending on availability. If an earlier check-in cannot be accommodated guests can drop-off their luggage at the villa earlier subject to an advanced request. 

Q:

What is the cancellation policy?

A:

Regular cancellation policy is that any down payment is fully refundable up to 60 days before check-in. No refunds are accepted after that date. Different policies, such as non-refundable, may be applicable depending on there rate agreed.

Q:

How many guests can each villa accommodate?

A:

Sand Key Villa 1 can accommodate up to 14 people with different rates for a 10-person booking vs. a 14-person booking. Sand Key Villa 2 can accommodate up to 11 adults or 10 adults and 2 kids as one of the bedrooms includes a sofa bed that can accommodate one adult or two kids. Sand Key Villa 3 can accommodate up to 3 people with two sleeping in the bedroom and one sleeping on the sofa in the living room.

Is the pool heated?

A:

The pool is not heated. The villas are open from April to November when the climate in Paros is mild to hot and so a heated pools are not required. 

Q:

What is included in the rental rate?

A:

The rental rate includes accommodation, housekeeping every third day of stay with cleaning and change of linens and towels, bathroom amenities, wifi, parking, pool towels, streaming services and 24/7 concierge service. It does not include more regular housekeeping or additional paid services such as private chef, pick-up and drop-off to and from the port and airport, babysitting, etc.

Is Paros easy to reach from Athens and other islands?

A:

Paros is very easily reachable from Athens by air (Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport) or ferry. The ports used in Athens to reach Paros are Piraeus with direct links and Rafina with prior stops to Mykonos and Tinos islands. Paros is also easily reachable by ferry from other nearby islands as it sits in the middle of the Cyclades. Direct links to Paros can be found (depending on the season) from Mykonos, Santorini, Ios, Syros, Tinos, Andros, Kea, Kythnos, Folegandros, Astypalaia, Koufonisi, Naxos, Schoinousa, Irakleia, Milos, Sifnos, Antiparos, Sikinos, Serifos, Kimolos, Amorgos, and Crete (Heraklion). Links to other islands may be possible without changes (Dodecanese) while there are many more islands that can be reached from and to Paros with ferry changes. 

Q:

What is the best time of year to visit Paros?

A:

Paros is beautiful year round. The most popular period is the summer months, September and during the Orthodox Easter when the island and its villages are home to beautiful and rare religious happenings and thousand-year old customs. The busiest time of the year in Paros is mid July to mid August with the best weather (rarely any rain or cloudy skies) between mid June and end of August.
